Meet the Team

We have a highly dedicated team here at Orchard Studios. Each one with skills and experience which complement each other to give audio and visual production and service of outstanding quality.

John (Director of wizardry and Imagineering)

Owner and director of Orchard Studios and an award winning songwiter, John, a former radio presenter (Tuesday Till 10 on Focal Radio) has been involved in music all his life. An accomplished guitarist he also finds his way around most of the other instruments found in the studios as well as providing voiceovers for adverts, jingles and film narrative. John's experience as a singer/songwriter both as a solo act and in a number of acoustic bands coupled with production skills in both sound and vision complement and direct the skills of the Orchard Team.

Dan (Musical Jiggerypokerist)

As engineer, producer and professional musician, Dan lives on a diet of fresh beer and curry. After honing his skills on London's South Bank, he has worked with Cameron Blackwood, Nigel Stonier, Roy Martin and a host of other industry professionals. In 2008 he played in the 'Requiem Band' with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michael Lloyd (English national opera). Alma (She who Must be Obeyed)

Alma (or 'She who must be obeyed') has been co-owner and studio manager since it's opening some years ago. Her corporate management background, administrative skill and in depth IT knowledge are invaluable in the smooth running of the studios. With an uncanny ability to complete jobs whilst the rest of us are thinking about starting her range and capacity for work is almost boundless. Please though, never, ever ask her to sing!!

Kate (Discoverer of Opportunities)

After graduation Kate spent the next year in one of UTV's largest commercial radio stations gaining considerable experience in ensuring effective fulfilment of client advertising campaigns. Though also responsible for Sales and Marketing here at Orchard Studios, Kate's imaginative approach to client advertising helps to create an added dimension to an already creative team. Like all the Orchard Team, Kate is barking mad which is an essential attribute in this great environment.
