From full album production, demos, team building, a special gift experience, party with a difference, and much more besides, we are open 7 days a week early ‘till late! (by arrangement). With hundreds of possibilities we are certain we will exceed your expectations.
Set in five acres of Cheshire countryside we are just two minutes from the M6 at Junction 16 and within 40 minutes of Manchester, Derby and Birmingham.

For our international clients we are 40 minutes from Manchester Airport and 1 hour from Liverpool, Birmingham and East Midlands Airports.

Meet The Team

We have a highly dedicated team here at Orchard Studios. Each one with skills and experience which complement each other to give audio and visual production and service of outstanding quality.

John (Director of wizardry and Imagineering)

Owner and director of Orchard Studios and an award winning songwiter, John, who also presents a radio show (Tuesday Till 10 on Focal Radio) has been involved in music all his life. An accomplished guitarist he also finds his way around most of the other instruments found in the studios as well as providing voiceovers for adverts, jingles and film narrative.  John's experience as a singer/songwriter both as a solo act and in a number of acoustic bands coupled with production skills in both sound and vision complement and direct the skills of the Orchard Team.   

Dan (Musical Jiggerypokerist)

As engineer, producer and professional musician, Dan lives on a diet of fresh beer and curry. After honing his skills on London's South Bank, he has worked with Cameron Blackwood, Nigel Stonier, Roy Martin and a host of other industry professionals. He has recently played in the 'Requiem Band' with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michael Lloyd (English national opera). Currently with a new band lineup and producing a radio show he now has precious little time for ... oh yes! .. the pub.

Alma (She who Must be Obeyed)

Alma (or 'She who must be obeyed') has been co-owner and studio manager since it's opening some years ago. Her corporate management background, administrative skill and in depth IT knowledge are invaluable in the smooth running of the studios. With an uncanny ability to complete jobs whilst the rest of us are thinking about starting her range and capacity for work is almost boundless. Please though, never, ever ask her to sing!!  

Steve (Guru of Keyboards, Pianos and Pies)

With keys at his fingertips since the age of four and blessed with the gift of perfect pitch it is not surprising that Steve's love of creating, sharing and playing music remains a fundamental part of his life. He started his career in a music shop as a Yamaha keyboard demonstrator where he continued to hone his skills on piano, keyboard and organ. In 1989 he won the title of Yamaha Electone Festival Champion and later represented the United Kingdom in the International Finals held in Hong Kong. As Musical Director for a leading holiday company, he has played piano and keyboard accompaniment for a whole host of TV celebrities and upon returning to Staffordshire, he continues to write music for TV and radio and still finds time to write a regular column for the Yamaha UK Club magazine!

Kate (Discoverer of Opportunities)

After graduation Kate spent the next year in one of UTV's largest commercial radio stations gaining considerable experience in ensuring effective fulfilment of client advertising campaigns. Though also responsible for Sales and Marketing here at Orchard Studios, Kate's imaginative approach to client advertising helps to create an added dimension to an already creative team.  Like all the Orchard Team, Kate is barking mad which is an essential attribute in this great environment.

Jan (Vocal Coach to the Bewildered)

Jan's vocal coaching ability stems from her vast experience on stage as a solo singer and musican. Equally at home in teambuilding, choral or one to one pop genres, Jan has the ability to bring out the very best in even the most inexperienced performer. Her unique style has everyone singing not only the song but her praises too!   Her songwriting skills both played and written have resulted in many successful advertisements and even a rugby anthem.  You think the rest of us are mad ... meet Jan!
